Bald Mountain Wilderness Values Trip

December 2, 2006

 alpinemeadow_sm

Saturday was beautiful blue bird day with moderate temperatures and very little wind.  A group of 9 members and volunteers from Carson Valley headed out to Bald Mountain to see our proposed wilderness area for the first time.

Nevada is a small place and most of the group knew one another from either previous hikes or associations.  We decided to go for the peak and after a 2 hour hike, we had the best lunch spot around.

Bald Mountain is one of the few places where one can actually look East into California.  Everyone had a great hike and enjoyed the fews and gentle rolling features of Bald Mountain's shoulders and meadows.
