What's New -

Welcome

The Nevada Wilderness Project is a catalyst for wildlife habitat conservation, wilderness preservation, and smart development of renewable energy. We work on conservation issues affecting public lands in Nevada, and we are a non-profit, 501(c)3 organization supported by donations and membership.

Since 1999, The Nevada Wilderness Project has successfully led statewide campaigns to designate more than 2.5 million acres as Wilderness, with another 500,000 acres of National Conservation Areas. This is more than any other state during this period of time, and our work has just begun. To learn more about what we do--and why we do it--please have a look at this video. It's full of wildlife footage, great music, short interviews and incredible scenery.

We hope it inspires you to get out there and explore the state—and get involved in conservation.  This website is a great place to start, and we invite you to join us.
