Take Action PDF Print E-mail

Those of us working here at NWP can do and say a lot in support of Nevada’s public lands, but it takes many voices to get things done… People who call elected officials. Speak up at public meetings. Write letters to the editor. Talk with their friends and neighbors. Donate time and money. Volunteer in the field.

Besides, taking action feels a whole lot better than just stewing about it. And it’s a great way to see beautiful places, learn new things about your community and meet interesting people.

Take action…

  • For Gold Butte - Nevada’s piece of the Grand Canyon puzzle, Gold Butte is a magnificent area in southeastern Nevada near Las Vegas.
  • For Pine Forest - the wilderness bill languishing in Congress despite widespread support.
  • Against the "Great Outdoors Giveaway," or HR 1581, the Wilderness and Roadless Area Release Act. This egregious bill in Congress would end protection for more than 60 million acres of public lands.
